Infographic: 2018 in review

Last Updated on June 18, 2019 by Mr. FightToFIRE

I’ve brewing on this ever since December 2018. It needed another 2 months before I actually started on it, to finally finish it this week. My very first (of normally many) infographic is finally here!
It took longer than expected but I’m happy to show you my infographic on the incomplete year 2018. It’s an overview of my site’s first four months starting in September. It contains all the most noteworthy information. The info about my total wealth comes from my portfolio page as it was at the end of 2018. My Savings Rate (SR) obviously from my SR page. The site statistics are from (anonymized) Google Analytics and WordPress.

I hope you like it and of course, at the beginning of 2020, you can expect the first infographic of the entire year 2019.

A big thanks to Ilma S. from Freelancer.com who did a lot of the work for this infographic. Some images come from freepik.com.

I'm a developer for a major financial institution in Belgium that is present in over 40 countries. I have over 8 years of working experience in the development of customer applications focussing on all aspects of banking. This helped me gain a deep understanding of the inner workings of a commercial bank. All of this experience in both banking and life culminates in this blog about personal finance and my fight towards FIRE.

Hi,

Henry from Finimize here – we are interested in partnering with you. My colleague Nik recommended Fight to FIRE earlier today, and after having a closer look I believe your work in financial independence very much aligns with what we do.

Finimize specialises in bitesize financial education for young professionals with savings (helping them to get invested). We have more than 400k global users with a strong interest in finance, economics, and investing.

I believe your readers would benefit highly from our daily markets newsletter (2 major financial stories of the day, 3min read, no jargon) and vice versa. In this context I’d be keen to explore affiliate opportunities – we pay £1 for a sign-up to our free newsletter or introduce your blog to our audience.

Let me know if you are interested – happy to jump on a quick call / discuss via email.

Best wishes,
Henry
