Meet Julia Lorenz-Olson and Philip Olson. The two lovely people presenting the PBS Digital Studios online show, Two Cents:
a weekly series about personal finance for millennials and Gen Z
For a few months now I’ve been following their YouTube channel. In this show, they share lots of personal finance tips and information to help you make better money decisions. Their main audience are clearly Americans, but a lot of their tips can definitely apply to those not living in the US.
Interestingly, they’ve been around longer than their YouTube channel exists. On the PBS site, they’ve been around since 20 February 2018.
They are also present in social media such as Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook where they share other financial tidbits.
While their information is nothing groundbreaking nor extensive, their high spirits are infectious and I believe it can’t hurt to put the spotlight on people that are doing their best to educate the masses in a clear and correct way. Be sure to check them out!
I'm a developer for a major financial institution in Belgium that is present in over 40 countries. I have over 8 years of working experience in the development of customer applications focussing on all aspects of banking. This helped me gain a deep understanding of the inner workings of a commercial bank. All of this experience in both banking and life culminates in this blog about personal finance and my fight towards FIRE.
