January Savings Rate

A new year, a new start to my monthly Savings Reports. Will this new start be a better one than last year or will it be barely positive like last year? time to dive into my January expenses and find out!
Unlike last year, we didn’t go on a holiday, so at least that big expense drops. Because of Corona we also didn’t visit family so gifts were limited as well. As for the income side of things, that was very good as well.

Milestones for 2021

As I did last year, I will try to aim for certain milestones on both a personal and financial level. I already looked ahead on what I want to achieve in 2021, so now it’s time to put those numbers into concrete SMART milestones.

Looking Ahead: 2021 Another Unusual Year To Worry About?

Here we are again, my third look ahead. When I look back at 2020 it shows us humans are terrible at predicting the future. Raise your hands if you foresaw a global pandemic! In 2021we must continue to manage the coronavirus but at least there is light at the end of the tunnel in the form of a vaccine.

For a couple of months now, in my team at work, we can’t do any more updates or new software to customers (“pushing to production”) during regular working hours.
My employer has good reasons for it, the main one being that it is a demand from the regulator. Bank regulators started to scrutinize my employer due to stability issues.
