A new year!

Best wishes to all of my readers. May all your financial and personal goals be achieved this year. That we get at least one step closer to FIRE in 2019!

Happy New Year 2020

2020 is finally here!

What a year 2019 has been, I’m now blogging for over a year and I feel a profound surge of joy whenever I can publish something for you to read. It makes all the effort and even just starting on this journey even more worthwhile. 2019 turned out to differ from I thought it would be. I say this with hundreds of happy memories and thoughts in my mind.

After all, I have now an amazing girlfriend, I found an apartment in Brussels; I got my My first guest post and received lots of dividends. But it’s also a year where we had to say goodbye to many amazing people such as John Bogle, the father of index investing.

I hope to continue my steady progress this year and that you, my readers, continue to follow me during my fight towards FIRE. If I can see you, my reader, from time to time read some of my posts, my hands tingle to continue writing so I hope that you continue to follow me in 2020!

Here's to a year full of success.
Let us drink to a new year.

Let’s get right into it

With a new year comes new targets, both financially and personally.
In my first post of the year, I will set my milestones for 2020.

Look forward to it!

I'm a developer for a major financial institution in Belgium that is present in over 40 countries. I have over 8 years of working experience in the development of customer applications focussing on all aspects of banking. This helped me gain a deep understanding of the inner workings of a commercial bank. All of this experience in both banking and life culminates in this blog about personal finance and my fight towards FIRE.
