May 2019 was the month of the Belgian and European elections, it was also the month in which lots of Belgian companies paid out their dividends. Yeah!

Should I sell in May and go away?

The adage ‘Sell in May and go away, but buyback (or come back) by St Leger Day” or equivalents such as “Sell in May and go away, but be back in September”, is something that pops up every year in May. This is for the obvious reason that it’s about the month of May. I never really gave too much thought about what it really meant. I’d like to have a closer look and see if it can actually be beneficial to my return.

First financial milestone of 2019 reached!

April has just come to pass. It’s the month where Spring is in full swing and where we get lots of Easter chocolate. It also brought me my profit participation which is a cool €2,701. Thanks to this additional income I could transfer the last €7,000 needed to reach a financial milestone I set for myself.
